About the Event

Walk along the white sands of Jervis Bay while deepening your connection to it’s indigenous history and culture.

Explore and experience the cultural significance of Jervis Bay as shared by the people of the Yuin Nation. Soak up the landscape while you learn about native vegetation for food and medicine and experience Aboriginal culture through song, dance and stories along the journey. The event organisers desire to be involved in the protection of the natural environment and cultural heritage values of the park and its surrounding areas. We invite you to join us on this journey to deepen your connection and respect to the land and it’s first nation’s people of our country.

Along the walk, you will have the opportunity to see and listen to the cultural heritage of our precious coastline. This can involve;

Listen to storytelling at set points along the course

Watching local cultural dancing

Listening to cultural music and traditions

Listening and Learning about the local area and its history

Watching local crafting, traditions and the local cultural foods and delights.
